A cracked flashing seam or a wind-lifted ridge cap won't wait for business hours, and neither do we — Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Commercial Roofing technicians across Rochester, NY on the same day whenever it's humanly possible.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Rochester, NY before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
Licensing and insurance aren't a line item we mention once and forget — we keep documentation current and available on request, because a homeowner signing off on a Commercial Roofing project deserves proof, not a promise.
Roofing is a trade where shortcuts hide for a year or two and then fail at the worst possible moment, usually during the next hard rain. We build every Commercial Roofing job — big or small — the same way, whether it's a single shingle repair or a full tear-off.
Verified licensing across Rochester, NY with documentation available on request.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Technicians dispatched from within Rochester, NY, not flown in from another region.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Emergency dispatch covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
Commercial roofs carry different loads and different membrane systems than residential shingles, and our crews are trained on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen accordingly.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
Calls placed after hours still reach an on-call line for anything urgent.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
Financing and insurance-claim assistance are discussed at this stage if applicable.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Because our teams are already local, we're rarely the company still driving in from three counties away.
Every job gets a written estimate before a single nail is pulled, so there's no surprise number waiting at the end.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
Storm-damage jobs come with photo documentation formatted for insurance adjusters, saving homeowners a step in the claims process.
Some jobs genuinely need a repair, not a replacement, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
We put our workmanship guarantee in writing on every job, so if something about the completed work doesn't match what was agreed, we send a crew back at no extra charge.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
Roof Repair Smedway dispatches Commercial Roofing crews to Rochester and the surrounding communities throughout Rochester, NY, with additional coverage available on request for properties just outside our standard radius.
If a storm system moves through Rochester, NY and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
